| Smelly Jellies are NOT EDIBLE! KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS! Smelly Jelly contains Fragrance Oils and Preservatives which may be harmful if swallowed. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IF YOUR CHILD EATS THESE! Use the instructions below to rehydrate (recharge) your Smelly Jelly: Add HOT DISTILLED water - never use tap water - to the bottom of the screw top area. Cap tightly with inner liner and shake well to mix - you may also use a disposable spoon to stir it up. Let sit until cool uncap and enjoy. Smelly Jelly crystals grow up to 400 times their original size. Do not overfill! As your jelly starts to shrink, you may add more distilled water to it as before. Once the scent is no longer strong enough (which is usually after 3 or more times of adding distilled water) you may add an additional tablespoon of fragrance oil with the water. Contact me if you need some fragrance oil. To keep your smelly jelly from becoming moldy it is a good idea to add a tablespoon of vodka or other type of alcohol every 3rd time you add water. We add a commercial preservative when they are made but it will weaken after a few times of rehydrating the Smelly Jelly. If your Smelly Jelly should ever mold, you can save it by rinsing the crystals completely in cool water. (DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR DRAINS - IF YOU DO, FLUSH DRAINS WITH WATER THAT HAS LOTS OF SALT ADDED TO IT. You can even pour salt directly in the drain - SALT MELTS SMELLY JELLIES). Drain excess water, add alcohol, scent, & color (if desired). Stir well - recap let sit until cool. Your smelly jelly crystals can be kept for up to 5 years - even if you let them dry out completely, they will come back! Just pretend they are brand new and add the vodka, HOT Distilled Water, fragrance additional Food color (if desired).- I would wait until the crystals have rehydrated as the additional fragrance may not be necessary. Smelly Jellies can be used anywhere you don't want to burn a candle. We suggest that in larger rooms you use 2 or more smelly jellies. |
